CCH Axcess Diagnostic: 49842 ‐ The amount of withholding must equal the amount of withholding reported on Form(s)

For customers with CCH Axcess Tax API is that some returns is receive the Diagnostic issue 49842

When you click diagnosis, you see this error:

The amount of withholding must equal the amount of withholding reported on Form(s) W-2, Schedule(s) K-1, Form(s) 1099, Form(s) W-2G and Form 8959, line 24 for electronic filing.  Please review the return and make any necessary changes.

Resolution: How to get it to qualify to eFile

  • In Return Manager, select the tax return with this issue

  • Go to Utilities

  • Click Rebuild

  • Click Continue and then OK.

  • Then open V2; it should be fixed. See the Return ID has "V2" and the Last Activity is "Return rebuilt."

  • Open return, and click Recalc.
