How to connect ProConnect to Filed

Before following the steps to connect your ProConnect account to Filed, please make sure you create the tax return for 2025 in the software before sending to Filed.

Step by step walkthrough

  • Log in to your Filed account, and go to the Connect tab.

  • In the left panel, click Tax Software.

  • Under Tax Software > ProConnect, click Connect.

  • Enter your Phone Number (linked to your ProConnect account), and click Connect.

  • Copy your unique Filed-created email. This email is unique and randomized.

Go to your Proconnect account to invite Filed

  • Log into ProConnect as an admin.

  • Navigate to Settings in the top right corner.

  • Click Manage & invite users in the dropdown.

  • Click Add user.

  • Enter Filed's information:

    • First name: Filed

    • Last name: User

    • Email: Paste the unique Filed-created email

  • Assign roles: Advanced tax access

  • Under the Access to clients, click Edit client access.

  • Select the [X] checkbox to give access to all clients

  • Click Send invite in the bottom right corner.

    • If you are unable to add an advanced user, you can add a standard all access user. Please note you will need to update Filed's ProConnect user for each new client added throughout tax season.

Return to your Filed account

  • Click I've sent the invitation.

  • Enter the six digit 2FA code sent to your phone number, and click Verify Code.

    • This may take a few minutes.

  • Filed might ask you to complete 2FA more than once.

  • You're done!
