All Filed data is hosted on Microsoft Azure’s secure servers, which meet rigorous federal security and compliance standards. This means your clients’ information is protected by one of the most advanced, government-grade security environments in the world.

Our practices are also SOC 2 compliant, with our audit performed by Schellman, one of the most respected independent security and compliance assessors in the industry. We anonymize all sensitive documents and personally identifiable information (PII) before processing. This ensures that PII is never visible to AI models or our internal teams, keeping your data and your clients’ trust fully protected.

How does Filed ensure compliance with IRS data security standards?

Filed follows IRS Publication 4557 and other relevant guidelines to ensure the protection of taxpayer data, aligning with industry best practices for encryption and access control.

How does Filed protect personally identifiable information (PII)?

Is my data encrypted?

Yes. Filed uses bank-level encryption for data both in transit and at rest.

Does Filed integrate securely with my tax software or document storage provider?

Who can access my firm’s data within Filed?

Access is limited to authorized users within your firm and specific Filed team members when necessary to provide support. All access is logged and monitored.

Does Filed use customer data to train AI models?

Filed’s models do not use customer data for training. Your firm’s data is processed securely and used only to perform the services you request.

What happens to my data if I close my Filed account?

In accordance with our data retention policy, we permanently delete your data from our systems within 30 days after account closure.
