Auto-print and automatic draft return fetch support by tax software

This article explains when Filed can automatically fetch or auto-print a draft copy of a tax return after Filed AI Prep is completed, and what clients should do when their tax software is not supported.

Filed can automatically fetch a draft copy of the tax return for some tax software integrations after Filed AI Prep is completed. Support depends on the tax software and the connection method used.

Supported tax software for automatic draft return fetch

Filed can automatically fetch a draft copy of the tax return after Filed AI Prep is completed for the following tax software:

• Drake Software

• UltraTax CS

• ProConnect

• CCH Axcess Tax, only when connected via RPA using the Filed AI user's credentials

CCH Axcess Tax connection requirements

For CCH Axcess Tax, Filed can fetch a draft copy only when the account is connected via RPA using the Filed AI user's credentials.

• Filed cannot auto-print using the CCH Axcess API connection.

• Clients connected via API can also connect via RPA, so they may use a dual connection setup.

Unsupported tax software

Filed cannot automatically fetch the Filed AI Prep draft return for Lacerte.

For Lacerte, users should print the return to PDF manually, then drag and drop the PDF into Filed for workflows such as AI Review or Planner.
